Top Contributing Factors
Collisions involving an animal (182 crashes) and following too closely (164 crashes) remained the top two contributing factors in 2023, consistent with 2022, although counts for both factors decreased slightly. Vehicles & Demographics
The vehicle makes most frequently involved in crashes saw a minor shift in ranking year-over-year. In 2023, Ford was the most common make with 339 vehicles involved, followed by Chevrolet with 307; this reverses the 2022 order where Chevrolet led with 338 vehicles to Ford's 320. This dataset contains official police-reported motor vehicle traffic crash records maintained by the reporting jurisdiction's law enforcement agency. Records are published to the open data portal by the municipality and are subject to the portal's terms of use.
